PLUTO Room : The profitability of investigative journalism as a business model and best practices for boosting advertising revenue to ensure long-term survival.

Since the days of Watergate, it has been said that investigative journalism is slow and costly. But there have always been enterprises and individuals who are making money from investigative news. 60 Minutes and Le Canard enchaîné are examples of how the genre can be very profitable if it is managed properly. This session is about enterprises that make money from investigative journalism, and how they are managed in addition to using new advertising tools to boost circulation and revenue.
