Ballroom : Investigating Women Abuse

Desperate women trying to escape social stigma in Jordan and Syria might end up in fake marriages which compromise their legal and emotional rights and can harm the legal rights of their children. In Yemen, lack of rehabilitation centers for females who complete jail sentences force them to return to their cages.

Mohammad Fadhel Al-Obaidly / Bahrain

Is currently a senior analyst and media consultant at Dubai Consultancies and Research Centre (BHUTH). Mohammad Fadhel Al-Obaidly started his carrier in 1980 at the Bahraini daily “Akhbar Alkhaliej” as a reporter and sub-editor at the local affaires desk and as a foreign correspondent. He has also been the member and secretary of the “developing committee” where he was in charge of recruiting new journalists, planning and for developing the paper. From 1990-2001 Mohammad Fadhel Al-Obaidly worked at the “Al-Ayam” daily newspaper where he as the Deputy Managing Editor, Head of the Foreign desk, Head of the Local Affairs desk, as a senior reporter at the Foreign desk and as a travelling correspondent in charge of coverage of events and developments outside Bahrain such as covering the Second Gulf War from the front lines and bilateral and multinational negotiations in the Middle East. Further Mohammad Fadhel Al-Obaidly has been the correspondent for Agance France-Presse (AFP) in Bahrain and the East province of Saudi Arabia since 2001. Since early 1980s, Mohammad Fadhel Al-Obaidly has been deeply involved in the public field as an active member in Bahrain Cinema Club, an organization founded in 1980 by cinema fans in Bahrain. He has been a senior boardmember for more than 22 years.
