Ballroom : Investigating Child Abuse

Mental, psychological and physical abuse of children often continues due to weak legislation, poor law enforcement and social taboos. In this session, four ARIJEANS share their experiences in covering the plight/conditions of abused children in Syria, Jordan, Yemen and Gaza. 

Moderators

Khaled Haroji / Yemen

Khaled Ahmed AL-Haroji has been the Vice Chairman of the Foundation for Press Revolution for Finance and Human Resources since March 2012. Among other Khaled has been the Head of Investigative Reports Unit, Al-Thawra Daily, the Managing Editor at Al-Ghad Weekly and has been Sanaa’s correspondent in London and Dubai. Khaled has trained local reporters on investigative reporting and news editing and has conducted training for Sana’a University Media college students on investigative reporting and interview.
